Bar bands and merchandise.

Do any other bar bands on here make any shirts, stickers, etc.etc. to sell at their gigs. If not and you are financing anything within the band, I highly recommend it. We make a few bucks a piece on shirts and a buck a piece on stickers and they seemed to sell fairly decent at our last gig. Just an idea to toss out to bands that may need the extra dough.

  • We used to give away some stickers, just to get our name out there. Worked pretty good, but we weren't in it for money.

Besides, we only played covers, and just wanted to have some fun.

The more people who come out = more fun..

we don't have any of that, but it is a good idea (as mentioned) to do things like that to get your name out to people.

I at least try to have flyers with our upcoming gigs listed.

  • T-shirts are great if you have the working capital to get them printed up, and then have someone available and willing to sell them at your shows. An old cover band I used to play in had T-shirts, but we could never find any friends who would be willing to help out with a merch booth at a show.

Other little trinkets which can be good sellers and advertisers are...

    plastic keychain bottle openers

    and

    condoms. :D
