Tool tone

I am trying to approximate Adam Jones' tone. I have the Les Paul which is a must to get the cajones. The amp I am playin through is a Traynor 50 Blue. I can get fairly close to the Tool tone, but somethin is missing. I have a wah, echo/delay and a phaser for some of the tone coloring that Adam Jones does. Is there a distortion pedal that will help me with the missing link? Thanks for the help in advance.
