its not really a solo...but its near the middle of the song and Mike uses this effect that sounds real cool. Its much easier to hear on LATG rather than the studio version.

im getting a new guitar pedal this weekend and i was wondering which type i should buy to make this effect? thanks.

  • if the solo in the middle of the song is what you're speaking of, on L@tG it's Boom playing on the B-3 organ. I can't quite remember the studio right off hand but it might be a leslie simulator pedal like a uni-vibe. $$$$!!!! you could get a roto-vibe by dunlop for about 150.00

I usually play that part with a little bit of chorus and a little flange, and sometimes a very light phase-shifter effect.

Not to be a dick or anything...but a leslie sim and a uni-vibe are 2 completely different animals. A leslie sim is a rotating speaker simulator. A Uni-Vibe is more of a phaser that adds a 'thump' type sound that makes it seem like a rotating speaker sim.
