What is the main difference between the two, beyond the price difference?

I plan on getting one soon, and just wanted to know if anyone has experience with both.

I think thats about it. The speaker and the tweed are the only differences. I got mine two years ago, couldn't be happier with it.

I've been on a huge Zeppelin kick of late, hows the amp for dialing in some good bluesy rock zeppelin tones?

I have the BD-2 pedal, so I can definitely dial some in, just wondering if this amp does it justice

i play a blues junior (original) with no mods with a bd2 and a highway 1 strat. i can get some really nice tones out of it, but not exactly like zeppelin. i would think you would need a les paul for that.

i'm really satisfied with that setup though. it's a great amp for the money.

I think with the BD-2 and the Blue Jr you can get close to what you want.

yes the aformentioned tweed covering and upgraded speaker.

What you might do is email Ted Weber about it from the above mod shop. He should be able to do the covering for you and put in a MUCH better Weber 12F150 for you... or whatever other speaker you might want in there.

actually, I think weber builds the "special design" for Fender anyway. it is a 50 watt speaker and he does make the ones for the Tweed Twins for what it's worth. That covering looks awesome. I think it's worth the extra money, the biggest problem with that amp is shrill high end, the speaker helps that.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

How would you compare the Blues Jr. NOS amp to the Hot Rod Deluxe? I am looking to upgrade from a solid-state to a tube for Rock/Blues (pearl jam, zeppelin, etc. tones). I don't have the funds to spend too much though. Use will be in home only with headphones on (unless my wife is gone :-) ).
    Cheers!

the blues jr. doesn't have a headphone jack. i can't speak for the hot rod deluxe though.
