I've been told i can't complain about not having the right tone for the full length recording.

This is my buddy Darren (his studio) and my own bass collection combined.

    What he said.
  • Thanks folks. Unfortunately it doesn't compare to the guitar collection that my buddy Darren has, the problem is finding the space to take that family picture.... Someday.

P-bass is still flat out the most played, and first to go to. Peavey T-40 is just thick as can be. The Peavey Axcelerator is the most comfortable.

I love the looks of the Jag bass and that black guard butterscotch P Bass.

It'd be cool if Fender did the black block inlay like they do on the Geddy Lee on that P Bass. Nice looking room too.

The T40 reminds me of the Peavey Steve Cropper with those same blade pickups.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

I was at the point to go over sea's and buy a Jap Jag bass direct. Then they finally released them in the U.S. Unfortunately they didn't release it in vintage white, or the sunburst that was available in Japan.

I agree on the P-bass. My 2nd favorite bass is a '75 reissue Jazz, with the black block in lays on the maple fretboard. Love to see that in a P-bass.

T40's and the guitar version the T60's are amazing pieces. Great pick-ups, great quality, sound great. The T60 is all over my bands EP.

Wow I was a sleep when I posted this. "Pick" yikes.

Peavey gets a bad wrap in some circles, I like most of thier stuff really.

Basses just get the shaft sometime in the looks department, it'd be cool if they gave you clay blocks or MOP blocks on that thing too. Butterscotch and Black Guards will be sexy forever though.

true when I opened the thread I was expecting to be discussing 1.0 Delrin :D

None that I'd ever use! :-)

Um I believe it's a Vintage Modern, and a JVM (I believe)? Neither are mine. He also has two JCM 900's, one's on the bench to get modded.

Yea it has been the best purchase I've made in a long, long time. The neck takes some getting used to, but I can deal with that.

Tough choice, between the white and the sunburst in my opinion. Wow...

I thought this was a post about Bass PICKS (as in plectrums), not PIC's (as in Pictures) :D
I was all ready to chastise you for using a pick instead of your fingers (lol).
Anyhow, yeah, it's a nice little gathering of basses.
    Cheers . . .

I find that there are benefits and advantages to both fingerpicking and using various picks to achieve tone and texture. While I favor fingerpicking, I find great use for picks.
