Bass Cabinets

I know this seems mostly guitar player board. But does anyone have any experience with a 4 x 8 bass speaker cabinet? I know ampeg made a combo with a 4 x 8, and I know a guy that used to play thru some off brand 4 x 8 cabinet in the early 90's. Anyone else have experience? Brands?

    I think Roland has a 4x8" cab, but I can't speak for it's quality. I know SWR has some cabs with 8" drivers, but I don't know if they have a 4x8".

    Seems like a 4x8" would pair nicely with a really solid 1x15" cab.
    ...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
