Fender Jaguar Bass is finally in the states!

They do need to come out with a P-bass version now. I know I'm never going to be happy, I'm just going to feel guilty when I take out the jazz pick-ups for a vintage p-bass pick up.

Thats the breaks. Do wish they'd have the 3 color sunburst one like in japan though.

Musicians Friend and AMS says $699. They are all "Pre Order" right now. Actually over night Musicians Friend added "Discontinued" this morning, but I'm wondering if its because they had so many hits or not. But yeah give it a little time and they'll be in the stores. Fender just made the announcement this past monday.

The Japan model from last year offered a 3-color sunburst, which looks like a million bucks. But here they are only offering red or black.

Indeed, its my next purchase. But I'm modifying it right away and putting a '62 P&J pick up in @ the neck.

I really like the one in Red, looks way cool.

the Bassist in my band has just purchased the 'Aerodyne' black Jazz bass.
It's very nice, with a slim body profile (still quite heavy though) and white binding with all black chrome hardware. matching Headstock, 2 pups.
Basic controls - 2 Vol + 1 Tone.

Apperantly its a Jap Version of the one designed for the Bass Player from Guns N Roses. it reminds me of the Jag though, like a cross between that and a Jazz Bass.

You should be able to get one of those shipped to you from the states or even Japan. When they released that in Japan only, there were guys on the Fender forum that was ordering those at Japan websites and getting them shipped to the U.S. in less then a week and it was costing them about $750.

Not bad considering where its coming from.

True. As beautiful as it seems though I want to play it before I buy it so I'm gonna have to wait for it to come over here anyway. I'll be buying it over the net though if I do decide to get it.
