Hand wired, which is cool. $600 is steep but it's hand wired and that's on the low end for that. To bad it doesn't have a external speaker jack, and something other then a EL84.

congrats on 1000, that should be a fun little amp.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
  • I agree that it should be fun. I'd have a hard time getting myself to mod a $600 amp then I would a $100 amp that's for sure! Please amp manufactuers more low wattage 6V6 circuits!

On another note, something with P90's might be coming home wednesday.

  • I have a couple of the old ones. $600 sounds pretty steep for those things!
The best ones were Gibson Skylarks. I have two, and they look like old tweed typewriter cases.
They were actually a student amp then.

I think you can pick them up for $150 or $200 or so and mod them howecer you want.

I love those old Gibson amps and you can get them fairly cheap. Check out old BR series, too. I have a BR-5 I think it is. It looks like an old 40's radio and when you turn that chicken head knob up it sounds beautiful.

They're GREAT harp amps, too!
