As for the 74x clone, for the price I would rather just get a 74x
I was meaning to add the 45 not the clone of the '74. For the price, its cheaper then getting a JTM 45 and a Plexi thats for sure.
As for the 1974x, I'd suggest going with the ceriatone. Must cheaper and doesn't have the transformer problem of the real deal

I read that the trasnformer problem can be easily solved by a simple mod, I'm not sure what the mod is or anything but I just remember reading that.
Marshall really doesn't do it for me. The only amp that I like that they make now is the 74x, which I think everyone loves.
I discovered my Traynor basically is a Fenshall ( ) ...they always relate it to a fender amp because the clean is gorgeous, but if you turn the volume up and put the right settings in along with a boost feature, you can get get some heavy duty Marshall sounds....has nothing to do with the thread but I thought I would just say since we were talking about marshall
Buddy built a ceriatone version. We've walked into the local store with it an A/B'd it. They sound about dead on. The ceriatone actually seems slightly better. They are built with quality stuff. Hand wound transformer etc. Plus its $800 not $2200
I love the 1974x's and I love the JTM 45's
