Sounds like the electric 12 string makes a re-apperance on another PJ album. Fantastic!

This song is my 3rd favourite on the album. It is a joy to listen too and really uplifting. I think Mikey captures the feel of the best songs off of yield and threw it down for this record.

I love Marker in the sand. It has riffs AND melodie.
  • i never thought of it being a 12 string but thinkink about the song it might be...

    hmmmmmmmm...

sounds like the most fun song on the album to play is going to be Unemployable though.

Big Wave will be fun too.. fast punky pace and all those surfer slides..

wow are the chords in the middle cool and complex too.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

    didn't see it on Letterman.

maybe it was and i couldn't tell.. or maybe they just don't to use one live..

i dunno, just throwing that in there for everyone... Marker in the Sand.. not nessecarily a capo :)

I'll repeat this for posterity though..

    Unemployable - Capo 2nd (or 3rd,.. couldn't tell) fret.

Army Reserve - GOT to be a capo.

MITS has one too i think.

I saw a video of them playing Marker in the Sand on Letterman or at the Sullivan theatre, and I'm pretty sure there was no 12 string being played (and it sounded very close to the recording).
    Riverside.. LA.. California. EV?
  • Not the first time they've recorded with a 12 string electric, and not played it live. "Breakerfall" is another one.

Ed does play the Rick on that one.. kind of meets it halfway.
