So whats everyone's favorite guitar or bass, that most people thing are ugly.

I've considered getting a Gretsch TK-300 ever since I first laid my eyes on one. All my friends just stair at me and say "you do realize that thing is just horrible looking".

I love the ugly weird ones!

These are two of my favorites that I own:
A guyatone Japanese late 50's one. GREAT surf tones and slide guitar. Ry Cooder used to use them. I like the push buttons and rocker pickup switches.

1979 Martin electric. THey didn't sell well, but man, it's the best built guitar I own. Great neck and it has coil split and phase switches built in. I have two of these that were cheap. People comment on how weird the shape is on them. Man, the woodworking is amazing on them as they were built in the Martin factory.

Someone filed the frets down on this one to make it a speed demon fretless wonder and it doesn't play in tune right and needs a refret. I'm going to take them out and make it a fretless guitar. :D

  • Darren from Kid Dakota has been using the guitar in the video a few times that I've noticed. I know nothing about it, but it looks wicked. Video is wicked to if you've never checked it out.

this is what i imagine someone that's super awesome at guitar hero would buy, if they decided to cross to the dark side and play a proper guitar.

I don't know if it's an ugly guitar but I've never been a fan of the headstock on knock off strats. NOT the G-cleff
