Korina isn't the actual name for that wood, it's really only Gibson's trade name for the wood. It's actually African Limba Mahogany. So essentially, picture it a mahogany Strat. The wood is way lighter in weight, which is good for les pauls on us aging guitarists with bad backs! You wouldn't get that Strat ringing sound with that wood.

that's what I was thinking. I think I'd prefer it in an SG, it's kind of soft for a strat to my taste anyway.
I think it would sound better in a Tele shape than a Strat. But it really is made for a large-body electric like an Explorer, Firebird, Flying V, Moderne, etc.
