It's just too beautiful not to post.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

  • Those are the days. Low wattage tube amps, crank em up, let that warm tone flow. No effects. Just awesome.

no kidding. Channel Switching? We don't need no stinking channel switching!!

KT66's huge headroom, and when it distorts......wow.

you'd be a big fan of Dr. Z I think. Check out http://www.drzamps.com

I can understand wanting reverb with an old bassman or something but thats about it. Maybe tremolo (my favorite effect, even though it hardly gets used). But just straight amp tone. Love the Dr. Z stuff, liked to hear it.

Huge fan of my buddies old Gibson Minuteman right now. Crank it up, and it sounds so sweet.

I'm a Fender man, but damn...cranked up with just my guitar and wah, I'm thinking it would sound very tasty.

  • Crank up an old twin or a bassman, and you got a great tone. I like old tube fenders too, they have there place like other amps.

True, I lucked out and got my '73 Bassman Ten for $500. 3 years went by, I replaced two speakers and replaced ALL the tubes (they were the original tubes) at a cost of about $200 for tubes and install and a checkup and stuff, and about $100 per speaker. Not bad, I'd say. I wonder how much one of those plexi's would run.
