I built a Pearl Jam companion app and I'm finally ready to share it!

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a pet project for a while now and I finally have a version I'm ready to share.

It’s called Red Mosquito and it's a free live archive and personal concert journal for the PJ community and soon will be available on iOS and Android mobile devices.

Red Mosquito has curated 1,100+ shows, setlists, song rarity rankings, venue history, show posters with artist credits, and a personal tracker for your own shows.

Some things I'm thinking about tackling next: See your personal rarity score, bust-out alerts, overplayed/underplayed analysis against your own attendance. A Pearl Jam oracle trained on all of this data that can answer the weird questions. This is v1. There's a long road ahead and lots of different ways to expand its current scope.

What I didn't see coming was how much wanting the data to be perfect would become the thing that keeps me going. You close one gap and find three more. You track down a poster artist and lose two hours. I don't think a catalog this deep ever gets to perfect but I think it gets closer with people who were actually at these shows. If something's wrong or missing, let me know.

No ads. No accounts. Just a passion project that I hope others will enjoy using.

    Thats fantastic! I waited for an Android version. Unbelievable how much time and energy you had to invest to create this app. Thank you so much for sharing your work with us!

    "This is the first time that I have ever submitted an app to the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The expected turn around time, assuming no changes required, is anywhere from 2 to 7 days. I just submitted this week. Fingers crossed it will be available soon."

    easy doable at this place (but only for 10C members)
    I’m not sure, it looks like a lot of work to come up with it via the Red Mosquito app. 


    Edit: minus EV solo and EV & the Earthlings because RM is pure PJ full band.

    Shirts > Gallery incl. link / the possibility for everyone to upload photos of shirts.
    The incoming stuff must be checked by someone before moving it into the app’s public gallery.
    As soon as a shirt is grabbed forever some links are thinkable!

    !t seems to me it gets interesting now!

    💡easy mode for Ed:
    With the beginning of the new live era… there are only shows that made it into the app’s TOP 110.

    math mode: Try to play a set that is intended to enter the Highscore list on a specific position.


    At this point it’s unclear how a Top 100-110 set looks in number, unless you start digging through the app with math.
    The app should answer the question someday - before the live comeback 😉

    adjustment to reality 😉 
    1. Festivals
    „festival setlist“ and Easy Mode are not easy compatible.

    extreme example

    higher score, thanks to more songs 


    2. rare appearances in countries around the world are not easy compatible with easy mode
