Ditto! Hoping for a TIFF release! For anyone who saw the film, what was the soundtrack like? Any new JA release or was it mostly all previous songs from his EPs

I can’t really put to words what it meant to be part of the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival (Big Sky Film Institute) 2026 selection with our "Montana Grind".

To be able to screen it in the greatest festival on the American West, to an audience that lives in the state this documentary is about, was such an incredible experience.

Sharing the screening with folks like Jay Bitsui, JC Larson and Kristie Nerby that are a huge part of the film, was really emotional.

Those are pictures with some of our friends and moments that made it even more special.
From the sold out screening at The Roxy Theatre to the “underground” Board of Missoula night session, we had a blast.

Also, having the opportunity to show and talk to the next generation(s) at Sussex School,  Hellgate High School and Sentinel High School, took the whole experience to the next level. What an honor!

Not all of our friends are on those pictures, but I love you all for the whole support along the way.

Special thanks to Pearl Jam´s Jeff Ament, not only for contributing with your priceless music and art, but for all the help you gave me through this past 12 years to make this film be what it is, that is beyond credits.

As always, if it wasn’t for MONTANA POOL SERVICE FOUNDATION, Montana Skatepark Association and the people of the communities that made all the efforts for building those skateparks, Montana Grind would not exist.

I’ll be forever grateful for this lifetime experience.

    Montana Grind

    Documenting Montana Skate

Montana Grind and Paving the Way are two documentary films capturing how skating unites communities and gives purpose to a rural life.

After 11 years in production across 30 parks, Montana Grind is due for release later this year. Soundtrack by Jeff, the film also features our rocking Montanan skater and many friends in the community. More updates to come!

The unifying and healing power of skateboarding is something that we so oft overlook in the world. Filmmakers take an intimate look into the state of Montana in order to learn more about the effects skateboarding has on local communities over a decade and then some. Featuring original music by Pearl Jam's own, Jeff Ament.

he is right TIFF is becoming really well known. I guess that is good for Canadian tourism but not for indie filmmakers.

It isn't. Still hoping it'll make it's way on a big screen in Canada. They should contact https://www.cineplex.com/ for a one night only screening. Forget TIFF.

Hopefully, I’m sure I’ll be the only one in my city to show up!
