Future Days Fund: Electric Moon Foundation
Electric Moon Foundation (EMF) is November’s recipient of the $2,500 Future Days Fund! Nominating Ten Club member Sivert G. shares their connection to this nonprofit organization:
“EMF is a 501c3 which provides music education to at-risk youth currently experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. Its founder, Brent Nuffer is a rock musician who suffered trauma as a kid and discovered Pearl Jam’s music as a refuge in his teen years (Brent and Eddie had very similar upbringings.) Brent and his fellow musicians teach kids about different genres and how to play instruments — which they often get to keep. Through music, these kids find their “voice” and acquire social skills that will help them in their lives.
Please check their site out! They do AMAZING WORK for the MOST VULNERABLE KIDS in Southern California!!!”
