Good for Hiro.  He was a founder and I guess that's all that matters.  But we all know that SG wasn't HOF SG until after Hiro left.

That being said, if Hiro and Dave Krusen get in, you gotta put Dave A. and Jack in (Matt C's tenure was too short).

And if it's all about the founding members, then why in the F isn't Beatles founder Stuart Sutcliffe (and add in Pete Best) in as well?  They system is broke and sucks.

Hopefully we'll get that final SG album though.  Maybe Hiro can play on it and earn his stripes. :)

Soundgarden gets in and we still need to talk about Dave A? Don’t shit on Hiro, he doesn’t need to earn anything.  The horse is long dead and buried.

    It's inconsistent.

I feel Dave. A should of gotten in.  He was there at Peak PJ and drummed on two of their biggest and most influential albums.

Unfortunately there's not really a great answers as to why he wasn't.   Other than the RRHOF is completely inconsistent with it.  I dunno.  I think PJ would of been inducted based on their first 3 albums, maybe the first 5, but the first 3 were off the charts influential and big.   I'm not sure anything after those, would of made or broken their ability to get in the RRHOF.

Matt C tenure was too short? It was 27 years.

I think the reference here is the other Matt C (Chamberlain).

I wouldn't relate it to Dave A, but I do think it's odd that all founding members seem to automatically get in. If SG broke up when Hiro left, none of us would have ever heard of that band. Krusen makes sense, Ten was an iconic album. The first few SG albums, not so much.

I think the fact they had left the beetles before making their first album is probably the reason they weren't included. They determine eligibility based on when the first album was released, don't they? If they were not even a member at that point, seems reasonable to not include them. I think it taking this long to get SG in, and the white stripes get in on year one (nothing agains them, I just think SG is more deserving and far more influential) is even weirder than which founding members get in.
