ah man that's a bummer. i heard he died yesterday but with social media you never really know what is happening. it doesn't help when musicians post tributes to him and it has not even been confirmed that he died.

i'm sad that he and peter could never work things out with gene and paul to have a real farewell tour with the original 4.

Saw them together in 96. Caught Paul's guitar pick. It said Trump 2024 on the back. Got it framed. lol

I never cared for them until a few years ago I took my son to a Kiss cover band that was really good (he was obsessed with "I was made for Loving You" and they were playing at the fair). And they had a lot of really good songs I wasn't aware of. Kind of got into them after that.

i know Ace inspired a lot of musicians, but i had no idea the impact he had on people on my social media feeds. as a kid i preferred gene, but as i have gotten older i thought Ace was the best one.

people are sharing guitar magazine articles from the late 70s and all these people are writing in letters to the editor about how awful of a player and how divisive Ace was. i guess that was pre internet comment sections. but people really slagged him off. Ace got the last laugh though. made millions of dollars and inspired players that were the sound of a generation since the 70s.

So glad I got to see him join PJ in '08 at MSG!! Unfortunately, never saw him with KISS.

He's an all-time rock guitarist legend of the highest order. RIP

How rad would that have been if they skipped another Baba rendition and had Matt sing "Beth"?

I never did either... I wasn't really old enough for concerts until creatures of the night came out so I got Vinnie Vincent. Ace was the reason I bought a guitar
