Nepal Protests

There is a pretty big uprising going on in Nepal.

If the videos I saw were real then its really wild.

The Gen Z demographic organized and literally pushed out the current government.

Here is 1 article.  I am shocked that more reporting isnt being done on this?

I would think when a government gets overthrown it would be world news worthy but thats just me.

You're really bringing this thread to life, thanks Mick!

i agree that it should have been world news. but when we have a daily shitshow in our own country it is hard to keep up with everything.

i wish someone would step up and overthrow this administration but it's too late for that.

I don’t know where y’all been but I read two weeks ago that 16-19 young protesters had been killed in clashes with government security forces and that the protest marches were organized by the youth via social media. There was even in depth reporting of the clashes with video and “man in the street” interviews. Other than Mt. Everest and Sherpas, what else would Nepal be known for in the US?

That is correct.  The Nepal government shut down the internet to try and stop them but it only made it worse.

The kicked out the current admin.

    It's impressive.

The video I had seen was of the Nepal government stripped naked and marched into the streets, some were beaten.  I have no idea who these people were but it what was being reported.

    Another good article.

Very interesting on what lead up to this and then the people cleaned up their own streets that they destroyed the day before.
