Ohana 25 - Anniversary Shoutout - Hoping Eddie reads....

Dear Eddie Vedder,
My wife and I will be celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary on Friday, Sept 26 at the Ohana Festival which, coincidently, is the same day you are performing! We were married young. I was just turning 21 and she was 19. She has always been my best friend, best mom to our now adult children, best auntie, Godmother…the list is never ending. She is also a teacher and the director of a small school in San Jose, CA called San Jose Montessori School. The children range from 3 years to 5 years old. Teaching young children is her passion.
Your music, along with Pearl Jam’s, is one pillar of many that our bond and relationship stand upon. We are long time members of the Ten Club and have been to 39 shows over the years. We just recently saw The Who at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA. I know it’s been a while since you’ve played there. In fact, the last time you performed there was the last Bridge School Benefit. Each time we go there for a show, we make it a point to walk pass the wall that is dedicated to the Bridge School, as we used to attend that show every year. On that wall are photos of past performances by Neil Young, Tom Waits and our favorite, one of you and Chris Cornell singing Hunger Strike. Bridge School Benefit will always be one of our favorite musical experiences in our lifetime along with Ohana now.
We feel lucky and appreciate that we will be able to attend our 6th Ohana Festival this year for our 32nd Anniversary and are looking forward to 3 powerful days of music and community, especially with the state our country is in now, let alone the world and humankind.
My wife’s dream has always been to be able to share a cup of wine with you while you are on stage or catch a tambourine from you. We probably won’t be able to get up on the rail when you perform to maybe have that happen. You see, we also want to watch Garbage on the Tiki stage as they are also one of our other favorite bands. I mean, who doesn’t love Shirley Manson! By the time their set ends, it will be near impossible to get that close with the crowd at that point in the evening. It would be amazing, however, if we could get a shout out for our anniversary. If not, just know that we are very thankful for all the music and influence you have provided to countless amounts of people including us.
Thank you,
Mark and Susan Fernandez

Enjoy your time together! Envision what you want. Some form of it will happen. Maybe hit the stage for that rumored ev solo thing I've been reading about.
Sincerely,
Me (not going to any shows!)
