Genesis of gods

Genesis of gods

The dragons fly upon tempted winds

deep into unknown territory

witnessing the birth of a god

feeling the strength of a warrior

strong and commanding

with intense love bestowed

roar of twenty centuries of lions

where myths abound and orbs happily dance

they jump into and out of the fire

they speed up and slow down

they spin around and around

and fling themselves willingly

they reimmerse, then reappear

from the edge of the universe

as the red fire dragon flies

his prey willingly submits

she is helpless against his cries

as the night shrieks on and on

where kings and queens

mingle and dance

seen and unseen by starry eyes

and criss-crossing comets

melted by the fire

of the genesis of gods.

The theme of this poem reminds me of the song "Lakini's Juice" by the band Live.  Just realizing that, how neat.

we were dancing in the shadows"  ~Live
