Cover You with My Wings
 
If I could sprout white soft velvet wings
then I would
and I shall cover you with them
and make all your pain go away
spiritual and physical and mental
Everything changes
On
This
New
Year
Day
Renewed
Restored
Refilled
Replenished
I will fill you up with all my light
In liquid form
I will make you shine like gold
A Golden Boy, you are
and you are so precious
to me
and to them
and most of all to Him (God)
Oh, how I love you
Oh, how brave and courageous
Oh, throwed it all away for love
Oh, what a heart for love
What a heart for peace
What a heart
Now let me repay you
for everything you’ve ever
had to go without
Let me give you a gift
simply of love
from My Heart, my sanctuary
that I built a long long time ago.
Come rest now
the long battle is over.

    You may be wandering why I wrote "On this New Year Day", given the fact that I wrote this in September 2014. It's because I was listening to U2's "New Year's Day" song when I wrote it. I just kinda thought it would make good terminology but with a different meaning - that is - the current day was "new" in that everything had changed in my mind/heart.
