I have since rekicked the nasty habit that I picked up on tour, lingered for a month after but I won 😝 for now, I don’t drink much but when I go away the urge gets me to lite up a few. 

Cigarette 

I know I shouldn’t after all this time 

dabble and dance around your flame 

Sparking memories of youthful exuberance 

Pulling me in with every drag 

Lying to my insides 

Now I’m the Butt of your cruel joke

The one where you think I’m not paying attention

Only one of us has staying power 

The power you think you have over me 

Enjoy that slow burn

Taking a piece of me on your way out 

Until I eventually flick you away
