Alien: Earth (on FX)

Anyone watch this yet? Just finished the first two episodes. As a long time Alien fan, I am very satisfied. Definitely has nods to Alien and Aliens, mostly in tone and in adopting the visual aesthetic of Alien, especially the technology.

Cast is fantastic, production design spares no expense (it looks amazing), and there is a definite sense of unpredictability with the introduction of some new species, one in particular is quite nasty.

Some interesting themes to play with concerning the hybrid humans. Effects are great and the xenomorph looks very cool. Mostly all practical effects with it.

Cannot wait for episode 3.

just finished watching it, the end of the last episode of the season, the very end, was awesome, and the song is better... what is the title of the smashing pumpkins song on episode 3?
... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...

thanks for replying, and yes, all songs were amazing, and on the last episode when Curly/Jane asks "what do we do now?" I thought Marcy would say "kill them or feed them", but it was much better the actual answer, so when the music started took the scene to another level. That part when she said the creatures are honest was amazing. Everything was amazing of that show, the characters, the soundtrack, the storyline and of course the visual effects.
