I’ve never seen this before. The description says it measures 13x19 and was available for most shows on the 2000 tour. I’ve seen the smaller handbills for several shows but never a poster of this style. This was my first show, and I wasn’t into the merch yet. I’m assuming it’s fake, but let me know if you have any insight.

    You are purchasing a Pearl Jam poster from their 2000 Binaural tour. October 8th “Ice Bowl” show at Alpine Valley. This is a must-have for any music memorabilia collector. They did this design for nearly every show on the tour on different colored paper. At most shows of this particular tour they also had posters that were different for each show. There was not one at this show or the following night at Rosemont. It is printed on premium matte paper and measures approximately 13x19 Bid with confidence, 100% for over 20 years and I pack like a pro.

    This kind of concert poster was quite common back in the day. They almost always are 11" x 17" in size and photocopied on colored paper.

    They were a very economical way for promoters to advertise upcoming concerts and were often seen stapled to telephone poles, construction sites and bulletin boards in record stores etc. 
    If one was lucky, you'd find a stack of extra posters that had been left in a record or book store and not stapled up! 

    Today, they usually sell for around $20. or less in Mint condition, mainly because they were printed in large quantities at the time and even today, an unscrupulous person could easily reprint them on a common copy machine and you usually wouldn't know the difference.

    So you’re saying you’ve seen these before in this size for Pearl Jam?  And for this specific show?

    There is a seller on eBay selling a similar one for the Albuquerque show.  This one is definitely a bootleg because you can buy it in any size and even choose the type of paper.  I don’t know if the one you are considering is real but similar ones are bootlegged like crazy.

    Unless it’s a smaller handbill, I’m going to assume it’s fake. I think I’d have stumbled across a poster like this at some point in the past 25 years if it were authentic.

    There were promotional posters like this on the Europe leg of the 2000 tour.   Very thin paper.  Not sold at shows, literally used to promote the event by sticking them to walls and poles in public places.  I still have an unused one from the Prague show.  They are real.  I never saw them for the US leg, but it’s possible.  I would not dismiss it out of hand as a fake, but might be a replica.

    I agree… I don’t remember any of these in the US.  Maybe someone photoshopped some of the images and designs from the European shows and created images for the US shows after the fact.

    Many of this year's Pearl Jam posters were also available in various sizes from these pirated bootleg shops. So many posting their businesses on Facebook & Twitter. They even had various tour shirts & skateboards for sale.

    I have one of these from the 2000 show in Portland, OR. My friend picked it up sometime after the fact. I’ll have to ask if he remembers where he got it.

    Is that a full-size poster (11x17 or bigger) or is it a smaller handbill? I have the small handbill from Manchester that is really similar to this one with the bubbles and bar code. None of the above bigger posters have the bubbles or the bar code.

    This is all really interesting. I didn’t know these existed. Any thoughts on the Alpine Valley one? There was no poster for that show, so this might be as close as I get, if another one turns up.

    I found my poster. It is 11x17 and it does look exactly like the picture from online.
