I have to say, I'm not a fan of anyone appropriating an artist's work to do what they wish with it and make that public. It also devalues the original and any future works an artist may have in mind.

Create your own music people. It's also about the journey, not the destination.

I randomly saw this post and untypically hyperlinked and I have just drowned myself in some of the most beautiful acoustic unexpected pleasure during the beginnings of a DC heatwave.. and it totally just made everything absolutely okay.. Thanks so much for sharing ~ truly I needed to hear the remixed acoustic version just now.. didn't know it.. but wow! Appreciate it very much indeed!

Sounds like karaoke. Sorry Wombat Remixer. Not sure I like folks doing this to someone’s art that they worked very hard to make.

I'll leave the rights and wrongs of doing this to the band. But wow, this sounds really good. Upper Hand and Wont Tell especially.

I also agree with this. I don’t think it sounds very good at all.

I don't see how this is any different than a remix. People do those all the time.

Yeah, I see that AI can now do stuff like this. Problem is that it sounds like shit. It subtracts way more than it adds in alleged vibes.

I would never argue this sounds great.  But I don’t think that’s the real point.  No one is saying this is as good as Ed playing it in real life. But I think the value in the project is that it gives you a window into the potential of how an acoustic version of the album could sound.  And that it would sound amazing if Ed ever did some acoustic versions of these songs.

The vocals are at full band strength. Not nuanced enough for a remix let alone acoustic. I suppose AI could fucking manipulate those too and churn us out some computer generated acoustic album fuckery that people will eat up. Ugh. I’m out of this thread. 😬

It’s not necessarily AI. You can extract channels from the Atmos disc. It’s possible they got stems and just muted channels.

I think these are harmless, and some of them are fun.

If nothing else, we get to hear things in the songs that we might not normally pick up in the car or with headphones or on a stereo.

And whoever's doing it is clearly a fan, as the stuff on the channel goes all the way back to the Momma-Son tape.
