Philly n2 “Ten Show” - Parent Story
Options
Understandably (for you vets), I only for joined here/ Ten Club last year, it is what it is. So, never saw the talk about the Philly 2016 “Ten Show”. It was my second PJ show, a multitude of things were happening in life at the time when I got to attend. For the first time I’m listening to it (via Nugs.net). Not sure who might have attended, or have listened to the show. But as someone who lived off this album, had it in the cd player, playing from front to back, going through all of its emotions, to actually hear it played live, in front of you, experiencing it with people you never knew, but did “know”, was something so profound. So special.
That experience had lead to wanting to make sure my son “got” something like it. The kid is 12 now, his first show was last year in Philly n1. Then fortunately PJ came to our hometown, so we both got Pit n1 &n2 (three shows before 13 for the lil man).
I’m just the kid who saw PJ on MTV in 91’, seeing something so different from what I have been listening to (GnR/80’s/ect). Buying Ten, listening to it on repeat. And forming a different version of what I knew. It was “me”. And to have that transcend to my son is such a blessing, one that I will always be thankful for.
All in all, I want to thank all of you. This is awesome. This community, is awesome. The people we have ment at shows/out is awesome. This all has meant so much to me, as I know it has for so many others. That is priceless, and something that isn’t common. So I’m proud to be a fan, proud to be included with so many other wonderful people. Thankful for our time together, thankful for passing this along to younger generations. Thanks all! (I know, this is super long winded, my apologies)

(I know, this is super long winded, my apologies)This was more or less a nod to “you”. This community. We all have some sort of familiarity with it. A truly fun/great thing. Something I’m beyond grateful for. And don’t want anyone of us to take for granted, because it’s special.
Super cool you got the same “3”, and hell ya they were so F’ing great!!!0 -
10 show was jaw-dropping awesome!
If I wasn't there, I wouldn't understand or believe it.
Not a huge hits fan too. All those songs as intended, in your face, PJ live. Amazing
Met 2 people years later where this show was there 1st and only show they ever saw.
I told them it was probably the best ever.
I know all their shows are great, but this really had that special something.
Also ended up with this. Not in GA!
Gonna work to get MC to sign it someday ❤️0 -
My first GA ever, we traded up from side stage seats about ten minutes before doors. That alone was an incredible thrill and then the show, well we all know that part. Just unreal. First time hearing Release since my Dad died the previous year, full on crying on the floor, being hugged by strangers. I caught Jeff’s wristband at the end of the night. They don’t make nights much better than this one. When I’m at the pearly gates, this one will be on my videotape..0
