specifically this one the TZ2 Superfuzz copy. Anyone got experience?

I love the sound of the superfuzz but they are all so expensive.

This one is 70 bucks, anyone tried one yet?

THanks, P.

You're talking about this pup right:

Never knew it was a re-take of another pedal. A friend of mine has one and I play with it all the time when I'm at his space. It's a really nice sound. Came close to buying one a couple of times. You know how these things are. Hard to know what you have in mind, but I'd say there is no way you'd regret having one, it would just be a question of how often you use it / whether or not it scratches an immediate itch.

It's a really usable sound even if you have dozens of fuzz / distortions. It's got a character of it's own, and it's not an 'also ran'.

Funny you say, "Anyone got Experience." Well I dooooo oooo! (Hendrix reference and it all ties together! :D

I was going though a whole bunch of pedals in a store one day and the Guyatone grabbed me. It really reminded me of the fuzz on my Prescription Electronics "Experience" pedal. The fuzz is that "unpredictable chainsaw piss off the neighbors and the dog will be under the bed with his paws over his head kind of thing!" I think that's square wave but I never keep track of that kind of thing. It has a bit of octave and a little of that ring modulation flair to it, too.

It was more predictable than my Experience, though, but somewhat similar in sound and it depended on what pickup and where you played on the neck. That Guyatone pedal got me to break out my old Experience, too. That thing is wild. It has it's own moods.

So $67 for the Guyatone ain't bad considering $260 for the Experience pedal these days.

exactly what I was looking for thanks guys.

I'm loving the octava on the Pigtronix piece I'm checking out from the BJF demobox and I've been shopping the Fulltone octafuzz, I remembered how much I loved the superfuzz and this one sounded intriguing.

I know the ampeg scrambler the Experience and the Moonrock are in the same kind of vein, but I love that superfuzz sound. It's definately worth a listen.
