    I kind of want to do the VIP area.  For 299 I get a better spot.  In other festivals its been pretty damn cool and the lesser known bands will have no one in there.

    Well since these are mostly NY bands maybe not?

    If you are going to this festival make sure to check out the Lunachicks. Gina, the lead guitar player used to be an aquaintance of mine a long time ago when I was more involved in the NYC band scene. She is incredible. I wish I could go, but I am going to Ohana N1 and made plans to meet up with my mom and aunt in LA after that. So, it's hard to back out.

    Yes. I have seen them many times at the Continental - when it was still open.

    There used to be another venue under the Manhattan Bridge - I saw Sonic Youth there in the 90s.
