Release in Raleigh

My cousin Jamie turned 50 two days ago. (And, coincidentally, my 50th is today.) We are both Pearl Jam superfans.

She went to Nashville N1 and will be at both Raleigh shows. I asked what song she’s been chasing and she told me: “Release.”

Jamie lost her beloved mom a few months ago. I can’t imagine what it would mean to her to hear “Release” at one of the Raleigh shows. I do know there would be cathartic tears.

If you’re still reading, thanks for putting eyes on this. I would love to help Jamie achieve her Pearl Jam dream even as I continue to chase “Hard to Imagine.” Maybe my next show. 😍

    Bump for "Release" in Raleigh N2! My 18-year-old son Jack is a few weeks away from graduating high school, and he chose "I'll ride the wave where it takes me" as his senior quote. It's a big time in his life, this will be is first Pearl Jam show, and he's hoping the band will play "Release"!

    Only @Sea knows if this actually made its way to Boom, Eddie, Jeff, Josh, Matt, Mike and Stone. Regardless, I am eternally filled with gratitude for tonight’s “Release” opener. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
