Legendary NOLA live painter Frenchy was out at the Fair Grounds on Saturday and captured this awesome painting of PJ:

Here's what he had to say about it on his social media:

"@pearljam live @jazzfest 2025 I decided to switch things up a bit and employ my line art technique (first time ever during a live performance) this is a technique I used when I first started painting in my teens. I recently designed a @dumpstaphunk beer label for @urbansouth_nola using this technique. Since #Dumpstafunk was performing b4 #PearlJam I decided to go with the line art. I intentionally used several different techniques this year in painting throughout jazz fest. I am happy with my decision, stay tuned for more #jazzfest painting posts #yyr #frenchylive #livepainting #acoustioptics #livemusic #neworleans"

I have personally worked with Frenchy before at his shop on Oak Street, and knowing him, he painted a purple background and sketched in Eddie and free handed everything else while watching the band... As you know, Eddie wears hats ALL the time now, so he probably got this image from the internet as a starting point... Still spot on, as the band opened with Corduroy and Eddie had guitar in hand.

The painting itself is still available for purchase, but be looking to drop a few grand.

You can inquire or attempt to purchase the painting itself here:

Cheaper Giclee prints that are wrapped to a wooden canvas will be available once the art is professionally photographed. You can stay up to date with all of that info on Frenchys social media: @frenchylive

or at his website here:

cool art style - neon tubing comes to mind - looks like a glow in the dark effect with luminos colors would fit perfect to this art style

Not sure if the painting was done in blacklight paint, but he does do that sometimes.

There usually is an option to do an embellished print, where he will bring the print into the studio and add blacklight paint to it!

    Very heady.

No wonder that it was already done.
    It’s pretty obvious.
