Ive been really unhappy playing acoustic gigs for the past 2 years coz my guitars pickup was shit basically, but today I discovered a new kind of sound..............

I got a Yamaha silent guitar and a 50 watt marshall acoustic combo and the sound is awesome, cant wait till next week when we play our next acoustic gig. Im gonna rule with my sound!

Anybody played a gig with the silent guitar?

With the no feedback guarantee Im really looking forward to using it live.

Is that the one Todd Snider used in "Talking Seattle Grunge Blues"?

couldnt tell you chief its essentially just a neck a thin rectangular body and two bits of black plastic that make the shape of the guitar. Not the most attractive thing in the world but a wonderful sound.

    Its called the SLG100s.

    I was being cheeky...

The song I mentioned is about an alternative band that refuses to play... they release an album with nothing on it... the do MTV Unplugged, and refuse to do acoustical versions of the songs they had originally refused to do electrical versions of...

It's a great song, and Todd's a great songwriter. You should check it out sometime.

I personally am blown away by my Line 6 Variax's acoustic tone. And Line 6 recently released an Acoustic modeler:

There's always the Gibson Chet Atkins

The Variax looks pretty normal compared to this:
