I have a fender hot rod deluxe,

about 5 months ago I had the power valves replaced and eveything was fine

however tonite while trying out my new delay pedal the amp has stated to big big "popping noises" when I watch the valves one seems to light up more during this popping.

Will I have to replace em again? I paid 50 quid last time.

I feel like trading it tomoro for a marshall.

Any suggestions as to what the problem is?

It sounds exactly like you have a power tube problem. You'll need to replace all the power tubes (the big ones) if that's the case, the preamp tubes should be fine for at least another year.

Now, since you're in the UK, a Marshall isn't a bad idea, but I know we in the States have a hell of a time getting parts for Marshalls. I don't think Marshall amps are as reliable as Fender, but that's arguable.

Just one last thing: your amp is most likely normal, you probably just got a bum tube when you got them replaced. If you knew someone with a tube tester, you could check it out and make sure it's just a bad tube. But you can get a tube (especially power tubes) that will just crap out after a few months... there's always a chance you'll get a bad apple.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
