effects pedals for bass

Any bass players use pedals or any kind of effects? I noticed there's a few effect pedals for bass, but I was just wondering if anyone actually uses them or the basic opinion of these pedals.

    bass wah is so cool.

    I like the Bass Balls (octave overdriver), and Octavers on bass, other than that mostly just compression.

    Some people use chorus and or phasing and overdrive.

    I pretty much try to get a punchy phat sound. If you want to play with some effects go try out a SWR Mo Bass head it has some cool filters to play with.

    Electro Harmonix makes some cool stuff, envelope filters and synthesizers to make your bass one spicy meatball.
    My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
