only does one trick.
muddy for chording.
russian one isn't true bypass and sucks tone when off
advantages:
that one trick is a great sound
goof for soloing
USA version is true bypass
looking for something a bit more flexible, different levels of distortion... Alone and RITFW kinda distortion all in one pedal... as well as more bluesy and some fuzz.. am i asking too much? lol

the muff makes a good second distortion but it's rarely used as a main one.
Good Range too on the DS-1's. Look at the BD-2 blues driver as well. Cranked they get fuzzy. The DS-1's are hella cheap on Ebay and BD-2's go for around 70 pretty cheap for a versitle overdrive.
THe Pro Co Rat is good and in the same vein.
I miss you already, I miss you all day
yeah they are a lot of peoples pedals. Mudhoney likes that sound too.

Analogman also sells the black cat superfuzz. It's exactly the same circuit without the "junk" read "cool" slide switch.
Fucking cool shirts man.
This is also the fuzz the Beastie Boys used to record Sabotage.
See the Analogman website http://www.analogman.com/blackcat.htm for more info on the beasties use of this pedal
