Purchasing tickets

Does anyone have a good suggestion for how to if I’m able to locate tickets purchase them correctly. Since Stubhub seems to indicate that I must be accompanied by the original purchaser of the tickets I’m a little confused. Also if I were able to last minute secure some tickets Not through Ticketmaster or Stubhub at a reasonable price, any suggestions from anyone how to facilitate the transaction and not get hung out to dry.
