I remember back in the 90s - all these record shops would sell bootleg CDs for like $60 and above (even for an audience recorded show).
It’d be nice if the band took a similar stance now like they did in 2000 on “beat the bootleggers”… when they opted to release shows.
Hard to understand why they don’t setup a preorder window for merch and esp show specific merch.I get it can help drive demand, but as already noted throughout this thread - it’s nuts to see the second hand prices of stuff.… 🤯🫠
I’m sure there’s more nuance and details behind the idea of preordering - but it’s def head scratching at times.0 -
Those bootleg websites are nuts!#Grievance20250

I’m certainly not saying I wouldn’t be for it, but I’ve got to think 10C would have to hire more employees to work in the warehouse (at least during tour time) if the tour merch was sold online. I know they’ve done it for Jazz Fest, but to do it for a whole tour would have to be a ton more work for Santos and crew. Not to mention the complaints about shipping prices….” it costs more for shipping than the actual token/sticker/pin, etc…”
Again, I’d love to have this option, I just think the strain on the warehouse crew would be too much with all the merch we love to buy from the shows.0 -

I'm so pissed. That Pittsburgh N1 tshirt I want so badly (for obvious reasons) is being auctioned on FB. Last I checked bid was 95.#Grievance20250

I've bought a few bootleg shirts in the past but its been awhile and I have no idea about any of these.
But in my experience they are very cheaply made and some of the images have been ironed on and they stick to everything. The images are often offset and the shirts fit wierd. I know nothing about printing and thought this would be a great alternative but I hardly ever wear them because they are just not the same as the real deal. Do I recommend paying crazy ebay prices no but buyer beware.4/22/92 St. Petersburg, 8/23/92 Orlando, 3/29/94 St. Petersburg, 10/7/96 Ft. thirdbeach said:Questions/Opinions about all of the bootleg material available on Ebay. It's astounding to me how much there is now. Posters, shirts, etc. made to order in various sizes and colors. From the looks of things some of the listings are using the same shirt brand as the official item. Sellers are in Sri Lanka, Morocco, Philippines and so on. So they steal the images, send that to a printer in the USA and then provide the buyers address?
At first I was really put off. The band and artist make zero. I guess I'm not exactly clear how copyrights work but it maybe doesn't matter if the seller is abroad. Ebay also doesn't seem to care because they are making $$.
On the flip side, if everything is super expensive in the secondary market, is a bootleg that allows you to have a lesser version bad?
I'm still not sure about how I feel.....I’m rambling but the gist; artists and band, make your money and find a way to sell these amazing pieces of art to the people that want it and put the money in your pocket. But if I guess I can’t get it anywhere but after market for idiotic prices, maybe it’s time to look bootleg0 -
Reminder: Do not link to or promote bootleg items. Thank youPost edited by Sea on0
