USA starts World War III

Here's a thread to discuss insidious manners and extremes Americans will go to to preserve their prosperity as they run out of fresh water and rare earth minerals.
Examples:
1. Disrespect for universally accepted international boundaries: "I think Greenland's going to be something that maybe is in our future. I think it's important (for) international security."
" It cannot go on the way it is. It's not going to go on the way it is." - USA President

2. Yes, sorry. Reading Heather Cox Richardson today left me feeling a bit hopeless. I will take that walk in nature you recommended!
3. I always picture WWIII being an all out nuclear holocaust. I suppose there might be other scenarios, but in any case, it would be beyond horrible.
4. See above!

There are many reasons WWIII could be started by the US.
Also, I do think WWIII will involve nukes
I mean I only learned today that the UK and France are the only two nuclear powers in Europe. And that is where our new Prime Minister went to visit immediately after taking office.

If USA decides to stop payment on a loan and the other country (China) claims we violated the agreement and decides to take military action, who "started" the war? I'd still say China.
Is it the first one to take military action? Well, we, and just about every other country, have already been taking military action for years. Just not against anyone big enough to take par tin WWIII. I'm not sure you'll be able to blame 1 country for WWIII, if it happens.

What about if the US annexes another country, and WWIII starts because the world retaliates against the annexation and declares wars against the US? You know, how WWII started. That would definitely be the USA starting WWIII just like Germany started WWII.

Russia has already invaded another country and no one has stepped in with direct military action to stop them, mostly because we all realize it isn't worth WWIII.
If there is a WWIII, I believe it will be a chain of events that won't pin down to just 1 thing. Maybe 1 country does something wrong, but then other countries react in a way to to escalate it. Like what's going on with Russia and Ukraine. We know what Russia is doing is wrong, but we're not getting directly involved because we don't want to start WWIII. Russia also chose a country that he knows we won't directly defend for that reason.
