Bee Girl for Pittsburgh

I mentioned in the “Untitled in Nashville” discussion that I’m trying to get Bee Girl played in Pittsburgh. I don’t care what night since my wife and I will be there both nights. We have pit for night 1 and in the 100 section for night 2.

Our first date was the Pearl Jam show in Pittsburgh back in 2003 and this band has meant so much to the both of us. My wife absolutely loves this song and this has been such a stressful year for her, and probably for most depending on your politics. She’s in the science field and there is an attack on science right now and she is probably losing her job at the end of May because of the freeze on grant money from the NIH.

The shows are going to be amazing no matter what, they never disappoint. I’m just trying to make it a little more special for her.

At first glance, I thought this said "Bee Gees in Pittsburgh," and I was ready to co-sign.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

God bless her. This is a rough time for any of us in science, healthcare, education, or the (legitimate) federal workforce. We are very concerned for future studies in all aspects of healthcare. Big shout out to Eddie for a thoughtful Bee Girl for your wife. ♥️

Enjoy the show. Everyday is a gift as crummy as they may get. Best to you both ❤️

    Barry is.

Incidentally, "Jive Talkin'" was the number one song on the Hot 100 when I was born. How fitting. The number one song the day my parents were married was "I Got You, Babe."

I thank everyone for the well wishes. I will add that I had a best friend in high school/college that had the same taste in music as I did. The early 90’s were phenomenal for discovering new music and we used to just drive around and listen to music. Pearl Jam were definitely a bonding band between the two of us and he actually introduced me to my wife because of her fandom of the band.

While not new music, I bought The Bee Gees greatest hits one night and we were amazed at how many great songs they have. Don’t sleep on the Bee Gees.

I’m not a Bee Girl fan but because of your post I’ll do a little mental telepathy and hope she gets her wish.  I’m sorry about her job.

I do hope you two (everyone really) thoroughly enjoys Pittsburgh if you’re coming from out of time.
