Yesterday, The Bulwark shared an interview with Shane DiGiovanna, who is living with EB and who discussed his concerns about NIH funding and how his life and the lives of others living with orphan diseases will be affected by the new administration. I am sharing this here because The Bulwark also linked to Ed and Jill's fundraising appeal.
I don't want to get into a political discussion on The Porch, so I'll just say that the Bulwark community is a thriving, generous bunch of people, and I hope that linking to the Vedders' appeal will have some payoff.
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.
