new strings on acoustics

when a heavier or lighter guage of strings are used on an electric the neck ect need to be adjusted accordingly... i just brought a new acoustic / electric and wanna replace the strings... do the same adjustments ect need to be made?

    If you change the string guage, type, or tuning, yes.
    ...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

    i dont know what guage they have on them now... anyway of being able to tell. I cant adjust the hight at the bridge, so woul i just adjust the truss rod in the neck?

    I'd put the strings on and see what happens first. You may or may not have to. Put the strings on and then check your string height and intonation. Also consider that larger gauge strings, while creating more sound, will be harder to play and will work against your guitar more.

    I have a guitar with a really thick neck that I can up the gauge on a little and not really notice a difference. Acoustics with thinner necks will be affected more though, I would think.
