I believe the dog was in the crate. No food/water for several days

• Cause of death: Academy Award-winning actor Gene Hackman died of natural causes, chief medical examiner Dr. Heather Jarrell said today at a news conference. His wife, Betsy Arakawa, 65, died of hantavirus pulmonary syndrome and likely passed away before her husband, according to investigators.

The 95-year-old actor “showed evidence of advanced Alzheimer’s disease,” she said. The couple’s deceased dog was found in a crate and could’ve died of starvation, officials said.

Horrible situation poor dog dying like that! There’s a lot to be said about having someone to look after you living alone and old is sad.

hackman wasnt living alone.his wife died a week before he did and he was unaware of that fact apparently.

No I know I meant someone who could of checked on them sooner but I don’t know anything about how they lived

This is so sad. For him. His wife. And the dag who starved to death in a fucking crate :(((
