Congratulations to the first recipient of the Future Days Fund $2,500 Grant: LEAF Global Arts!

LEAF was founded in Black Mountain, NC over 25 years ago as a way to support local music and arts education in Western North Carolina. In that time LEAF has hosted over 50 family friendly music festivals and given a stage not only to local artists but to a diverse pool of indigenous artists from different countries across Africa and Latin America. LEAF has also set up teaching centers in over 13 countries, as well as locally, to help support and protect local artists in danger of losing their traditional music. Unfortunately the devastation from Hurricane Helene hit the area hard, forcing the cancellation of their fall festival and resulting in significant loss of their revenue.
