Pickups for the McCready Sound

I have an old Peavey Predator AX, which was basically a Strat-style Peavey. The pickups need replaced. Any guitarists or gear folks hear that could recommend some pickups for that McCready Yellow Ledbetter sound?

yeah i would get those for sure. they sound great. better than the lollars i have in my other strat, which, up until i got my mccready strat, was the best sounding strat i had ever played.

Ok awesome, thank you. I was also considering just Seymour Duncan Customer Staggered Strat pickups

Seymour Duncan SSL-1 set is available just about everywhere and they sound exactly like classic Strat pickups should, IMO. They should be able to do a very good Yellow Ledbetter tone. I think the amp is going to be the most important part of that equation, though.
