After offering up a “zero-for-zero tariff” to avoid a trade war (which Trump refused), the European Commission has greenlit tariffs of up to 25% on:
Cigarettes from Florida, beef from Kansas and Nebraska, chicken from Louisiana, car parts from Michigan, and most importantly, soybeans.

Republicans are NOT getting the deficit under control. Instead, their efforts to extend Donald Trump’s 2017 tax plan are expected to tack on an extra $5.5 trillion in debt, plus $1.3 trillion in interest.

The Dow is still down close to 5k points from its highs a couple weeks ago. 125% tariffs still in place on China, 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico on goods not covered by USMCA and 10% tariff on all other countries.for 90 days.
Did anything really change that much, not really. Beware the dead cat bounce…
The only people making any money off this are the people already rich. The people in the know (fraud).
What a dumpster fire.Tariffs are an absolute dumpster fire but when he targets big pharma, he is onto something. I get it’s a slippery slope targeting medicine.
but non Americans pay cents on the dollar when it comes to American made pharmaceuticals. He better have 0% tariffs on the other countries that produce medicine to a large extent, Switzerland, South Korea, etc.
and we see how much liberals on the far left care about people who aren’t in their tiny little clubs. Scream yell fight protest only people in their little tiny clubs get rights so why should we subsidize the worlds medical supply with 0% tariffs?0 -

If the tariff is enacted, I'm guessing it'll be similar to what's happened with China, but this time with India - India (who manufactures plenty of generic medicine much of which is relied on by the States' market) will retaliate with hefty tariffs on their drugs. Net result: more expensive things for everybody. Again. If this isn't realistic, I'd appreciate if someone could help me understand why.'05 - TO, '06 - TO 1, '08 - NYC 1 & 2, '09 - TO, Chi 1 & 2, '10 - Buffalo, NYC 1 & 2, '11 - TO 1 & 2, Hamilton, '13 - Buffalo, Brooklyn 1 & 2, '15 - Global Citizen, '16 - TO 1 & 2, Chi 2

We manufacture plenty of generic drugs here. It may cost a little more to move more generic manufacturing here but I don’t see price tripling.
Best case scenario is they settle this with trade deals. Bidens approach to cutting what we pay for Rx was much worse, and only benefitted those on govt plans.0 -

Small business owner: This additional 10% is really squeezing our access to capital. It's really created a stressful, volatile, uncertain environment for us. This is an increased cost of business, and I'm not sure to what end. My company is the one paying the tariff. We're trying to increase jobs here in Wisconsin and this is putting a terrible stress on our ability to grow_____________________________________SIGNATURE________________________________________________
