Is it Twitter alt? I thought it was FB or IG alt? Idk, it’s just social alt 😂
The guy who originally developed Twitter also was involved with the development of Bluesky. It has similar functionalities as Twitter. Also, after the election a lot of people bailed on Twitter and went to Bluesky. IMO it is not similar to FB or IG.

Thank you! I had never heard the backstory!
No problem! As the poster above pointed out there are some functionalities that aren't as good as Twitter, but if didn't want to support the guy who now owns Twitter or dislike what Twitter has become under his leadership, it is a viable alternative.
To my knowledge, it was developed by Jack Dorsey while he was still at Twitter. I joined, and while the usernames are ridiculous, it is just like the Twitter I had when I joined in 2017. I left Twitter as soon as Musk acquired it and I sure wouldn’t mind leaving Instagram either when a viable alternative becomes available. (which I’ve heard bluesky may be working on)
Yes, I am dissolving relationships with certain billionaires online as we speak. Moving over to Bluesky. How about Fanbase?
I have a fanbase.
What is it akin to and do you like it?
To be honest I'm rarely on. But it's more about getting paid for your content. Looks like a cross between tik tok and Instagram. Now Instagram has subscriptions as well

Another vote for PJ to move to Bluesky. Many of the bands I followed on Twitter have moved over to Bluesky or Threads but there are still some stragglers. I'd rather not use Threads either.

Not a big fan of Threads. App needs work.
