If I had the power to do so, I would do 2 things right now:

    1. I would time travel to watch this whole thing. In particular, Mad Season right now.

    2. After they were done playing, I'd wait for the right moment to approach Layne. And I would stop time.

I would then tell him (timeline divergence & branches be damned) that one day we are all going to miss him. And I would tell him just how much of an effect he would have on the world.

How somehow, in the year of our lord 2024 & beyond, that 'Nutshell' would become an anthem of shared pain, for men & women alike.

I would ask him to let me help him. Help him shake this damned addiction. And he'd call me fucking crazy & ask for me to be kicked out. And I'd return to my time, because I know that's not how addiction works.

But at least for a second, he'd know what he meant to us.

    I think that'd be enough.
    Yes to all of this.

And Chris Cornell. I would tell him future me has not gotten over his loss & thats I still cry whenever Say Hello to Heaven plays.

That's my biggest regret, live music wise.
At least I got to see Tom Petty.

Watt has always had a gentle reputation........doubt she was referring to him.

No. She was talking about some rockstar who obviously assaulted / coerced women and was part of Watt's project.

I remember taping this off the radio when it was originally broadcast. At the end Ed gave out a phone # to call in and talk which I tried until the sun came up but could never get through.

I can imagine at least a couple hundred thousands trying to do the same.
I wonder if anyone here got through back then.

If you miss it, it will probably be available On Demand. Also I have a few pre-fm, CD / Flac / SHN / MP3 rips & past SiriusXM broadcast specials of the complete show. So if you need a hookup, just let me know.
Thought I'd also check in on the thread, just in case you might have something :) also interested in a rip!
