help with Soundgarden's 'Like suicide' guitar tab...

Ok, im kind of a rookie with guitars and im still almost an ignorant in all of this.
Well, the other day i checked out Soundgarden's 'Like suicide' tab and i came across some parts that i dont know how to play. That is, when u have to strum two non-consecutive strings at the same time.
Please somebody help me! Thanxxx!

Are you asking about the number in ( ) or
are you talking about the gap of no string between numbers.
With the gap you want to mute the inbetween string with the top finger, just let it hang a bit down and block the ring.
