Talk to me.

Just signed up for free 21 day trial , solely to watch osu/ou game being its on espn.

no longer have cable, been streaming for a few years now. first had directtv streaming(sucked) with ATT(also fucking suck) when we cut the cord then when we switched to spectrum , did the spectrum streaming app from them.

no other access to espn without signing up somewhere (just wanna watch the game) but for $59.99 month for a reported 135 channels, seems worthy to take it for a spin.

so, talk to me, whats your experience with this platform?

I’ve had YouTube tv for a few years now. Overall I’m pretty happy with it. Only thing that sucks is they keep raising the price of it. I think it was around $50 or $60 when I first bought it. It’s currently like $72 a month. And starting in a few weeks they are raising it again to $82 a month. 😡

Would love to cut the cord but don’t want to go cold turkey on hockey, baseball and other sports. Fios is damn expensive. Plus over 30 miles from the city with plenty of trees and tall buildings in the way for decent antenna reception.  And if I’m cutting the cord, who’s gonna pay Juan Soto?

We switched from DirecTV to YT TV six months or so ago. I'm happy with it.

Lots cheaper than DTV and it is really easy to tell it what you want to watch and save, etc.

The only thing I don't like is the guide. There are no channel numbers so you can't easily jump around other than pulling up the guide and click/click/click/clicking to channel surf. Maybe I'm missing something there.

The guide does allow you to sort by most watched channels but it still seems a bit clunky there. Definitely recommend it though.

I really thought I would miss the digital recording that I would do with DTV but YTV is just as good with saving what you want. Plus, if you subscribe to HBO/Max, etc., you get to access all of that stuff anyway.

I love YouTube TV. The option to record everything is awesome. I record all my favorite shows so it can sort of double as a Netflix or Peacock as far as watching a show (with commercials that you can fast forward through). And the NFL Sunday Ticket now being on YouTube TV is so much better than Direct TV. I record every team's games so if something happens in a game I'm not watching, I can flip over to that game and rewind since it's being recorded.

If I keep it, I will cancel and sign back up for a more budget conducive payment day.

but for now, I get through the CFB championship game in the free trial.

I really like the multi game view....and if you switch back and forth between two games it will let you watch the big plays that you missed and skip all the BS

I am a FUBO guy.  I tried some of the other options, and didn't quite like them.  With FUBO, I get far more sports and content than I ever did with cable/satellite (havent subscribed to cable/DTV in about 10 years).

I think it is like $90, but I am very happy with it.  Functionality, interface, and having so many sports channels is great, especially since I am considered in-market for like 5 MLB teams.  I started it off as a trial, but kept it since.

One thing that is irritating me now is that I bought the entertainment add on with YTTV that includes HBO/Max, Paramount/Showtime and Starz.

The HBO/Max app can be accessed independently of YTTV meaning that you can either just watch the channels on YTTV or pull up the app and watch whatever content they have.

Paramount +/Showtime does not seem to work the same way. When I open the Paramount app and try to log in through my provider it gives me the YTTV option to select but says my subscription doesn't give me access.

I guess I might need to cancel the "entertainment" package and just sign up for HBO/Max and Paramount/Showtime separately. Not like I really need Starz added on anyway. Still kind of odd.

I switched from DTV to YouTube TV maybe a year or so ago.  No real issues.  As others have said, the "guide" is kind of annoying as to get to something you have to do a lot of scrolling.  The NFL package is big for me so that works out great.  Also, the YouTube TV app is pretty cool too.  I'll sometimes bring my iPad outside and watch a game on it and i travel a lot for work so can watch anything on it while traveling or sitting in my hotel room.

    I just looked.
I have the "elite" package which is $85, plus the $14.99 regional sports add-on.

My friend got it when first came out at 30 a month for life.... they raised the price on him within 6 months.
The worst of times..they don't phase me,
even if I look and act really crazy.

poking around and getting the hang of it.

seems to have all the channels I am getting on spectrum stream package and a bunch more. for not much more than qhat I pay currently.

Leaning strongly toward keeping youtube tv and dumping spectrum from the package there. keeping the internet service. thats very good. wife works from home and needs speed. we have that in spades. easier to work with when issues come up and are very good at announcing outages and estimated restoration times.
