Telecaster Modifications

Hey Everyone,
I have a Squier Standard Telecaster made in '96, and I'm planning on changing the pickups for it. Basically, I'm going to put a Seymour Duncan Little '59 Tele Pickup in the bridge position, and a Seymour Duncan Vintage Rhythem Stacked Pickup in the neck position. I've read about doing a coil-splitting modification, but know nothing about it. Basically, I'm just wondering how hard of a job this will all be in the end? I've got a soldering kit, and with the help of my father I could probably do the job if it's not too difficult. I just wanna make sure I get the job done right.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
-Mitch
